Sim racers planning a custom DIY cockpit can use Sim Rig Designer to check whether a rig will fit their body, equipment and available space before building. Enter your height and choose a GT, formula or rally/truck seating position, then add your seat, wheelbase, pedals, screens and preferred frame material, such as wood, aluminium profile or a plywood stand. The app creates a 3D rig model and checks seating and driving posture, including knee, hip and elbow angles, against published studies and sim-racing guidance. It also helps plan screen placement and field of view, and flags room-fit and equipment-clearance issues. The design includes a materials and hardware shopping list, with quantities for items such as boards, plates, brackets and bolts. For build planning, the app can also produce cut lists, drilling templates, DXF plate files, step-by-step plans and 3D exports. It is intended for sim racers who want to design and build a cockpit around their own measurements and gear; checking bolt-hole patterns may require measuring the equipment and entering those dimensions.
