What is Singlebox?

Singlebox is a desktop app for the apps you work in every day. Pick from 65,000+ apps in the catalog or add any website, and every app or account becomes its own profile with an isolated session, so all your apps and accounts stay signed in side by side. It runs on macOS and Windows.

What was Hamsket?

Hamsket is a free, GPL-3.0-licensed app based on Rambox Community Edition, with about 95 built-in services, custom services, a master password, and per-service CSS and JavaScript. Its GitHub repository is archived. This comparison is based on Hamsket 0.6.

1. Still maintained

Hamsket's last stable release, 0.6.3, came out in March 2022, and its last code update moved to Electron 20, also from 2022.

Singlebox is actively developed and updates itself automatically, so your apps keep working as the web changes.

2. Sync across computers

Hamsket offers offline backup and restore, but syncing your setup between computers isn't available. Singlebox syncs your profiles, bookmarks, and settings on every plan, so a new computer is ready as soon as you sign in.

3. Every account side by side

In Singlebox, every app or account is its own profile with an isolated session. A second inbox or chat workspace sits next to the first, signed in, with its own unread badge.

4. Help when you need it

Singlebox is built and supported by a dedicated team, so if something goes wrong, you can reach the Singlebox team directly.

Moving from Hamsket

  1. Download Singlebox and sign in.
  2. Add your apps from the catalog, or paste any website's address.
  3. Sign in to each account. Every account gets its own profile.

Which one should you choose?

Since Hamsket is no longer updated, the real question is what to use instead. Singlebox is a good replacement if you:

  • Want an app that keeps up with the web
  • Want your setup synced across computers
  • Use several accounts of the same app
  • Want help from the team that builds it

Keep your apps and accounts in an app that's still moving forward: try Singlebox for free.
