Shoppers who want to spread a purchase across several payments can use Zip to pay online or in store at participating U.S. retailers. In the app, they can search for a store, shop through its in-app browser, or choose Zip at checkout where it’s offered. For in-store purchases, they enter the purchase amount in the app and use a virtual card with a digital wallet or a physical Zip Card. Approved purchases can be split into four installments over six weeks, with payments taken automatically from a linked debit or credit card every two weeks. The app also sends payment reminders and lets users request changes to payment dates. Each purchase is subject to approval, and merchant, product, and service restrictions may apply.
