Sendrop is a peer-to-peer file transfer app for sending large files directly between devices without uploading them to cloud storage. It works in modern browsers through WebRTC, allowing users to share files with a link while avoiding account registration, compression, and hard file-size limits.
The app supports individual files, multiple files, and entire folders in a single transfer. Files are streamed in small, memory-efficient chunks and transfers can resume after an interrupted connection or closed browser tab. Sendrop checksums data blocks during transfer and uses SHA-256 verification to confirm byte-for-byte file integrity. When a direct connection is unavailable, the transfer can use a relay connection, which is clearly indicated in the interface.
Designed for private, large file sharing, Sendrop does not store the transferred file on its servers during direct peer-to-peer transfers. It is compatible with modern WebRTC-enabled browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, on desktop and mobile devices.
