KraMobil is a citizen science app for observing crows and recording their behavior, with a focus on the Vienna Zoo area and surrounding locations. It supports ornithology research by helping users document crow species and subspecies, as well as behaviors such as foraging, aggression, social interaction, and other visible activities. The app is designed for zoo visitors, local observers, and citizen scientists who want to contribute field observations to a research project at the University of Vienna. Its data collection supports studies of crow group dynamics and the ecological factors that may influence social behavior, including food availability and the presence of zoo animals. KraMobil also includes a live citizen science map, making it suitable for community-based wildlife observation and bird monitoring in an urban setting.
