WebCatalog

DRM-protected videos don’t play in the WebCatalog desktop app

The WebCatalog desktop app does not currently support DRM-protected video playback, including content protected with Widevine DRM.

Some streaming services use DRM to protect movies, TV shows, live events, and other licensed content. If a video requires DRM, it may show a playback error, a black screen, or remain stuck loading in a WebCatalog desktop app.

Other parts of the service may continue to work normally, including browsing content, managing your account, and playing videos that don't require DRM.

To watch DRM-protected content, open the streaming service in a supported web browser or its official app.

DRM support cannot be enabled through WebCatalog settings, and reinstalling the WebCatalog desktop app will not enable protected video playback.
