Wheelmap is an online map and mobile app for finding and sharing information about wheelchair-accessible places. It helps users search for public locations such as cafés, libraries, shops, and other venues, and view their accessibility status through a simple traffic light system: green for fully accessible, orange for partially accessible, red for not accessible, and gray for unknown. The platform is built on OpenStreetMap and supports community contributions, allowing users to add places, rate accessibility, upload photos, and review toilet accessibility information. Designed for people with mobility impairments and anyone who needs accessibility information, Wheelmap makes it easier to plan visits and compare locations based on step-free access and other wheelchair-related criteria. The service is available on the web and as an app for iPhone and Android, and it offers multilingual access for international use.
