Bookkeepers handling catch-up and cleanup work can use StatementLoom to turn clients’ PDF bank and credit-card statements into files for accounting software or spreadsheets, without retyping transactions. It exports QBO, QFX, OFX, Excel, CSV and Xero-ready CSV formats for use with QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero and spreadsheet tools. Before download, StatementLoom checks extracted transactions against the statement’s opening, closing and running balances. If a row does not match, it identifies the discrepancy so it can be reviewed and corrected. The app can split a PDF containing multiple statement periods, and lets practices organize statements by client. It reads text-based PDFs downloaded from online banking; scanned or photographed statements are not supported.
