Scannero.io

For families coordinating check-ins or people trying to locate their own misplaced phone, Scannero.io lets you request a device’s location using its phone number. It sends the recipient a text with a location-sharing link; they must open it and agree to share before their location can be viewed on a map in your account. You can also create a link to share through text, email, or a messaging app, so the service is suited to one-time location requests rather than silent, continuous tracking. Scannero.io also includes reverse phone and username lookups, a checker for phone numbers or email addresses found in data breaches, and tools to send a message to a lost phone or convert a written note into a voice message. It runs through a web browser, and the site says location features are for your own device, a child’s device where permitted, or another person’s device with their prior explicit consent.
