Janus Pro

Janus Pro is an advanced multimodal AI model designed to unify image understanding and generation capabilities. It leverages an optimized training strategy, expanded training data, and larger model sizes to enhance its performance in both multimodal understanding and text-to-image generation tasks. The model features a decoupled visual encoding system, allowing it to efficiently process both image-to-text and text-to-image tasks within a unified Transformer architecture. Janus Pro is available in two main versions: a 1 billion parameter model and a 7 billion parameter model, both of which are open-source under the MIT license. This makes them accessible for both research and commercial applications, supporting unrestricted modification and deployment. The model excels in text-to-image instruction-following tasks, outperforming leading models like DALL-E 3 and Stable Diffusion in benchmark tests. Key features of Janus Pro include its ability to process images at a 384×384 resolution, utilizing the SigLIP-L vision encoder and MLP adapters for efficient feature extraction. The model's architecture is designed to be cost-effective and scalable, making it suitable for businesses looking to integrate AI solutions into their operations. Janus Pro's capabilities can enhance various applications, such as marketing campaigns and product design, by providing advanced image generation and understanding capabilities.
