hr1 is a mobile radio app for listening to the hr1 live stream and accessing selected content from Hessischer Rundfunk. Users can listen to the current program, view the latest song list, browse upcoming broadcasts in a program calendar, and switch between hr radio channels within the same app. The app also provides news from Tagesschau, Hessenschau, and Sportschau, regional weather forecasts, and traffic and public transport updates for RMV and NVV services. A customizable favorites feature helps organize preferred transport information, while playback controls allow users to jump back up to two hours in the current program and navigate in 10- or 60-second intervals. Additional features include regional news, a dark mode, a sleep timer, and CarPlay support for compatible vehicles.
