Dream Up is for DeviantArt members who want to turn written ideas into images, explore visual concepts, or make rough artwork without starting from a blank canvas. Describe a subject and details such as its colors, setting, mood, or style, then choose options including aspect ratio and prompt strength. DreamUp can generate several image options at once; you can rerun a prompt for different results or adjust it to take the idea in a new direction. Generated images are saved to your DreamUp area and can be submitted to DeviantArt, where they are identified as AI-generated. The tool may suit artists looking for inspiration, concept-art starting points, backgrounds, or textures, as well as people experimenting with AI image generation. DeviantArt also provides controls for creators to indicate whether their work may be used in AI datasets and to request that their names not be used as DreamUp style prompts. When a submitted image references an artist’s style, DeviantArt’s guidance calls for crediting that artist. Generated and submitted content must follow DeviantArt’s policies.
