Specify was a design-token management platform for design and engineering teams seeking to keep brand and interface styles consistent between design tools and code. It collected tokens and assets from Figma Styles and Variables or Tokens Studio, stored them centrally, and let teams transform and distribute them through workflows such as GitHub pull requests or the Specify CLI. Developers could generate project-ready outputs, including CSS variables and framework-specific themes, while teams used the shared repository as a source of truth for design data. Specify was discontinued on November 15, 2024, so it is no longer available as an active service.
